Why Cognitive Hypnotherapy?

The 'Cognitive' approach to hypnotherapy, as promoted by my trainer Trevor Silvester at The Quest Institute, is significantly different to that of traditional schools.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy draws on recent discoveries and models from Evolutionary Psychology, Positive Psychology, cognitive theory and NLP and incorporates them into a modern idea of hypnosis that provides a framework for personalised therapy.

A core principle of Cognitive Hypnotherapy is that each person experiences their problem in a unique way and hence the process of addressing their problem should be tailored accordingly.

My own experience tells me there is not a "one size fits all" solution for any given problem since everyone experiences their problem from a unique and personal perspective.
